By using remainder theorem,

since ,x-2=0

x=2

and the p(x) =3x²-x-10

now, p(2)=3×(2)²-2-10

=3×4-12

=12-12

=0

therefore, (x-2) is a factor of given p(x)

Because the remainder is zero

p(x)=3x^2-x-10

(x-2) is the factor of p(x)

because when we divide p(x). by its factor.....it give zero as remainder....... hence (x-2)is the factor of p(x)
