is x²+1 a factor of x⁴+2x³-x²-2x+1.

No ,x²+1 is not a factor of x⁴+2x³-x²-2x+1

As in the reference you can see that x⁴+2x³-x²-2x+1 is not Fully divisible by x²+1.

Hence it's not a factor. (and sry for bad handwriting xD)
