 {x}^{2}  +  4 {x}^{ \frac{3}{2} }   \div  {x}^{ \frac{1}{2} }

Take

 {x}^{ \frac{1}{2} }

common from x^2 + 4x^(3/2)÷x^(1/2)

i.e. [x^(1/2){x^4+4x^3}]÷x^(1/2)

Now x^(1/2) will cancel out from both numerator and denominator.

So x^4 + 4x^3 will left . And this is a polynomial.
