Therefore  x = 6y

From statement - 3 years before Yash grandmother age was 8 times as Yash age
3 years before Yash's grandmother age was x-3
3 years before Yash's age was y-3
Therefore (x-3) = 8(y-3)
x-3 = 8y - 24

Replacing x = 6y
6y - 3 = 8y - 24
2y = 21
y = 10.5

x = 6y
x = 6*10.5
x = 63

Yash's present age is 10.5 years and his grandmother's present age is 63
