Answer:

father Suresh got more quantity of juice by 13.5π cm3

Given –

radii of both glasses r = 3 cm

heights of both glasses h = 10 cm

height of conical bottom h’ = 1.5 cm

To find – difference between volumes of juice in two glasses

Formulae –

1. Volume of cylinder

2. Volume of hemisphere

3. Volume of cone =

Answer –

Volume of juice in first type of glass

V1 = volume of cylindrical glass – volume of hemisphere

∴ V1 = 90π - 18π

∴ V1 = 72π cm3

Now, volume of juice in second type of glass

V2 = volume of cylindrical glass – volume of cone

∴ V2 = 90π – 4.5π

∴ V2 = 85.5π cm3

Therefore, second glass will contain more amount of juice.

The difference in volumes of juice in two glasses is

∴ V2 – V1 = 85.5π - 72π = 13.5π cm3.

Hence, father Suresh got more quantity of juice than Isha by 13.5π cm3.
