Ishita invested ₹120000 a part of it at 10%per annum and the remaining at 12% simple intrest. Her annual income from these inverstment is ₹12800, find the amount invested in each case

Y= year of investment ie 1 year

R= interest rate(10% and 12%)

Let X be the (P) for 10% case

and Y be the (P) for 12% case

So, we can say that

X x 10% x 1/100 + Y x 12% x 1/100 = 12800

10X + 12Y = 1280000

Given, X + Y = 120000

By eliminating both the above equations

X = ₹80000

Y = ₹40000
