if the distance reduced to 1/2 b/w earth and sun then it will effect the revolution velocity not the rotation one....
as it will effect revolution velocity will increase and it will complete more quickly than before one revolution....so one year will also passed out quickly....or may be it complete one revolution in half time than before one so may be it will complete more than 1 year in a revolution that means may be 18 months in one revolution....
