Take a volume of dil HCl in two test tubes. Add a piece of Mg m to one of them . Add a piece of Zn of equal mass to the other.

Observation : Mg reacts faster with dil. HCl than Zn. This is due to the difference in the chemical nature of Mg and Zn.
