Isn't the function of trachea is to moisten the air and warm up the air?

No it isn't. The trachea also referred to as the wind pipe is located under the larynx and runs down behind the breaststone. It is  the medium through which air from the nose reaches to the bronchi of the lungs.

The organ responsible for moistening the air and warming it is the nasal cavity or the nose. As it passes through the cavity it is warmed and moisture added.
