Zingiber officinale rhizomes were extracted with ethanol (95%) by simple maceration process. This extract was studied phytochemically and gingerol is isolated by using TLC and HPLC technique. The isolated compound was found to be oleoresins. Gingerol constituents responsible to reduce effects such as emesis and nausea.
