The  organic compound having the same molecular formula but different structures are called isomers

for example:

  1. n-pentane, iso-pentane, Neo-pentane
  2. n hexane, iso hexane , neo hexane

isomers is possible only with hydrocarbons having 4 or more carbon atoms because only then we can have 2 or more different arrangements of carbon atoms no isomers is possible in hydrocarbons containing 1 ,2 or 3 carbon atoms per molecule
