Let the base angle is x.
Another base angle =x.
Angle sum property of triangle
2x+80=180
2x=180-80
2x=100
x=50
First base angle=50=second base angle.

Given:

Vertex angle=80°

To find:

The base angles

Solution:

The required measure is 50°.

We know that when we add all the angles of the given triangle, we will get 180°.

Since the base angles are equal, let the base angles be X° each.

So, the angles' sum=180°

Vertex angle+base angle+base angle=180°

Using the values, we get

80°+X+X=180°

On adding and subtracting,
2X+80°=180°

2X=180°-80°

2X=100°

X=50°

So, each base angle is 50°.

Thus, the required measure is 50°.
