Let's break it into two parts

1 to 1000: total copy: 1000

1001 to 5000 total copy: 4000

For first 1000 copy price is 1 rs per copy so cost will be 1000/- Rs

After 1000 cooy 2% discount is there that means,

1 copy: 1 rs, 4000 copy: 4000/- Rs but now there is 2% discount so price will be

4000- 4000*.02= 4000- 80 = 3920/- rs
