Explanation:

The statement could be absolutely true in the near future due to the threats posed by nuclear weapons and the effects of global warming.

Future Nadir

Existence was extinct in the far past due to the ice ages that swept the earth. The Ice Age was a natural calamity that made survival impossible .

Ironically , the future heralds extinction at the hands of Man. Due to Man and his selfish activities, survival is threatened. The plastic invasion has ruined the Earth.

To add fuel to the fire the nuclear power plants have drastically affected the Ecosystem of the earth by their radioactive rays.

The air pollutants have created a big hole in the Ozone layer.

Glaciers have begun to melt. Australia is burning. Some parts of the continent of Africa are splitting.

Earthquakes are hitting Fiji, Indonesia and Japan randomly. Tsunamis are creating havoc.

All these are a result of Man's thoughtless activities. If these activities continue nothing will be able to survive on the Earth's surface  in future.
