rusting is a reaction mainly done in colder areas so it is faster in coastal regions becz its cold there and is slower in deseert becz it is hot

the process of rusting of iron takes place faster in coastal region than in desert because the atmospheric humidity of coastal area is high whereas the desert atmoaphera has no humidity in air,So the iron reacts faster in coastal areas due to humidity
