yes it is rightly said United we stand and divided we fall. something like this only happened with India 200 years ago. our country was called the golden bird .we all were very happy and United. but as per the changing of times our unity starts breaking all the rulers were fighting amongst each other. then came the britishers they tried to make their profit and rule upon India by using divide and rule policy. they tried to divide the rules and they were successful in doing that. they had ruled on our country for 200 years. but when the feeling of nationalism came into Indians and they tried to protest against they again used their policy by dividing Hindus and Muslims but there weren't successful this time and because of our unity we gain freedom . that's why unity is very important and without that a country cannot develop .....

hope this helps u pls mark it as brainliest pls Mark it

Answer:

United we stand, divided we fall

"United we stand, divided we fall" is a very well-known saying which highlights the importance of unity. Through the ages this proverb stirred people up to greater unity.

Unity is of great value in every walk of life. One example is seen in games and sports involving different teams. A team may have some very good players. But unless there is a strong bond of unity amongst the team members they cannot perform well and will lose games to weaker teams. Teamwork is essential to achieve something significant.

Mahatma Gandhi said, "Unity to be real must stand the severest strain without breaking." India is a land of diversity. People have different tradition, culture, custom, religion, language, dress and food habits. Therefore, as one nation, we need unity in diversity more than any other nation of the world. India is standing tall in the world because of unity in the midst of diversity. Without unity this great country would collapse like a house of cards.

When the people in a society live together in unity there will be peace and progress. No nation can prosper if the people are not united. A country torn by strife internally cannot stand up against external foreign enemies. Some great ancient empires have fallen never to rise again. Their downfall were the result of internal conflicts, disunity and division.

There is strength in unity but division weakens and ruins a country. Helen Keller said, "Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much." Therefore, everyone must strive to overcome differences and come together as one in harmony and unity. Unity is strength. Unity is of great value in every walk of life. If there is unity among people then their strength increases. If we work together we can be successful. If we fight each other we will fail.
