Television as invented by J.L. Baird is one of the greatest inventions of mankind. Sitting at home we get to know everything all around the world. There are so many channels giving us information about variety of things. But sadly, the television has little real educational value.
First of all, we hail the television as an idiot box because we use it only for entertainment purpose. We watch films, music videos, serials and all and children watch cartoons. These provide no educational value at all.
Secondly the news channels though provide us with current affairs and information about what is going on around us but mostly the media tends to be biased and take the stance of a political party and promote their agenda. So they too provide no real education or knowledge.
Therefore I agree with this statement that TV has little real educational value.
