Answer:

mark me brainliest please

Explanation:

The poet is travelling on a camel in Sahara Desert. It was scorching day light and there was none around.  The camel’s shadow can be seen and he is comparing the vastness of the desert to the ocean.  The only companion is the camel’s shadow which seems to giving him company in which way he turns.

The sun is so hot that none can be seen around.  Not even the sound of a bird could be heard.  The only sound was the sound of the camel walking on the sand.  Inspite of this heat he admires the desert grandness by comparing it to gold “O’er the yellow thirsty desert”

He sees a caravan of dead bodies while going on the camel.  He says that there is no life in the dead and nothing has come out to eat the carcass.  The hot winds have not even kept a wreath for the dead and the sirocco has showered the dead with the dust of the desert.  The dead peoples’ skin has been blanched away by the heat of the day and cold of the night and their skull is seen laughing at everyone passing by

The poet gets frightened by seeing all these things because he was travelling alone and prays to Lord Allah!  That he should not die like this nor should he go through such a pain.  He humbles himself by calling him the “basest servant” and prays to God to lead him to the heaven (Prophet-land).
