it hurts quite a bit when a dentist presses your gums with a pointy tool. it does not hurt so much when she presses your teeth. what do you think​

it is because teeth have a layer of enamel on them and it's the hardest substance in our body. but gums do not have such coverage that why its hurts. and also gums have blood vessels but enamel don't.
