Unquestionably it is true that God helps the needy through his people. Every day we see God helping the needy in a myriad of ways. God becomes employer for the needy people seeking work; God becomes a life-saving doctor for the patients needing immediate treatment; an orphan needing immediate financial help to continue his/her education often gets a kind helper. Novel, Kashi Yatre is a beautiful example of this fact. The protagonist in the novel is an old woman who has a strong longing to go to Kashi. However, she decides to sacrifice her arduously saved money to help an orphan girl married to her lover. In this instance, we saw God helping the orphan girl through the medium of the old woman in the novel.
