Aristotle said "It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it." ... To entertain a thought that we don't agree with is to admit that the thoughthas some measure of merit, thus seemingly devaluing the thought or belief that we hold by placing it into jeopardy.
