Hey Mate!!

It is advised not to hold the Thermometer by its Bulb while reading it because it will cause the Mercury or Alcohol ( according to the thermometer) to Expand or Contract due to the body temperature. We can't obtain the correct reading if we hold it by the bulb.

Remember the Bulb is the Sensor of a Thermometer.
