it is advised that not to talk or laugh louder while eating can you give the reason?

because when you laugh the epiglottis opens and food particle enter the tracea

then it block the air passing through it so we do not laugh when we are eating

It is advised not to talk or laugh while you are eating because while eating because epiglotis is a leaf like structure which is present down behind the back of the tongue which protects the food from enterying the larynx while we are eating and it  acts as a saviour or a barrier but when we speak or laugh during eating there is a possibility that the food might enter the larynx  causing irritation and sneezing and severe cases might led to death.
