Sir,
Kindly allow me the privilege to write and share about the proverb "Health is wealth" in the columns of your esteemed newspaper.
Health is the biggest wealth in life. It brings the ability to enjoy life and be a productive asset to our family, friends and the society. Health brings happiness and contentment to our life. If we are not healthy then we will not be able to enjoy the materialistic wealth which we have gathered by working hard. Wealth is uncertain. An rich man may become a poor man the very next day. If that person is not healthy, all is lost. But a healthy man can work and start earning again and improve his living conditions.
Health is the most important and long lasting wealth. But unfortunately, most of us in a race to earn materialistic wealth and ignore taking care of our health and living a healthy lifestyle.
Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well being. For a healthy life a person needs to have a balanced diet and exercise regularly. One must also take enough sleep and have good hygiene habits.
There are lots of things in life which money cannot purchased, such as happiness, joy, peace of mind, smiles and laughter. Money doesn’t have any value unless it is really enjoyed.
In the true sense money cannot make an individual rich, only good health can. This implies that only good health gives a person the capability enjoy the things of life.
Nature is beautiful. A sick person cannot enjoy the beauty of the around us. Peace of mind is a valuable asset in a world full of conflicts. A person suffering from pain and worrying about the cost of medical expenses or struggling between life and death cannot enjoy peace of mind.
A billionaire on his death bed will, if possible, willingly give away all his wealth to regain his health and wellness.
The happiest people in the world are the ones who have good health. Those who are sick or have poor health have to spend money looking for doctors and treatment instead of enjoying the bliss and joy that life offers us.

The term ‘healthy lifestyle’ is heard almost everywhere these days – on the television, on social media platforms as well as in magazines. The need to follow a healthy lifestyle is stressed upon via these mediums but people still ignore it and continue with their not-so-healthy lifestyle and eventually bear its consequences.
A healthy lifestyle mainly includes following healthy eating habits, taking adequate sleep and squeezing in some time for physical exercise each day. However, most people get so caught up with their daily grinds that they neglect their health. Ignoring your health is the worst thing you can do to yourself. Many people realize this only after they develop some health issues.
It is time people should understand that our health is of utmost importance and it is only when we are healthy would we be able to work efficiently on other aspects of our lives. Developing healthy habits requires just a few changes in the daily routine. These changes eventually become a habit and before you know you are on your way to a healthy lifestyle.
It is better to take out some time to follow the healthy habits shared above when you are still young and fit to avoid health issues later in life.
