It is difficult to burn a heap of green leaves but dry leaves catch fire easily. Explain?

YOUR EXPLANATION:-

This is due to the presence of cell sap, which is an insulator/non-supporter of combustion.

Since dried leaves are brittle because of the absence of alive cells which contain this fluid inside them and in the intercellular spaces.

In the case of dead cells, there is almost negligible fluids and lots of organic matter as fuel, thus becoming an ideal material for combustion.
