Green leaves, to a certain amount, contain water in it. Water opposes burning.

But, dry leaves have negligible amount of water. Hence, it is difficult to burn a heap of Green Leaves but not a heap of dry leaf.

Hello mate...

So in easy words to say green leaves are green as they contain chlorophyll and moisture as well so its ignition temperature is much more high than the dry leaves which neither contains chlorophyll nor moisture hence making it easier to burn as compared to green leaves.

Hope it would be helpful:D
