Blunt blades have larger area compared to sharp edge blades.Thus,the applied force produces a lower pressure in case of blunt blades.

Because blunt blades have larger area. And as we know that pressure in inversely proportional to the area. So blunt blades have larger area so it make us difficult to cut whereas sharp blade will easily cut the clothes because it has less area.
