HEY MATE.....!
HERE'S THE ANSWER....
We know that pressure is inversely proportional to the area and hair the blunt nail has more greater area than a sharp nail so the pressure applied by blunt nail is much less than that of a circle and hence This made a blunt nail to not pierce into a wall.
