Frictional force opposes motion by acting in it's opposite direction. When we walk,we apply a force with our feet in the forward direction. So,friction acts backward and prevents us from slipping. However,a slippery road has very low friction. So,we tend to move forward very easily and slip. Thus,it is difficult to walk on a slippery road.

Answer:

On the slippery ground, the friction is much less and we cannot exert a backward action force on it which would produce a forward reaction force on us. Hence, it becomes difficult to walk on a slippery road.
