IT is easier to cut an apple with a sharp knife tha with a blunt one.give reason

It is easier as a blunt knife aqqires a larger surface area than a sharp knife. Thus when force is applied on a sharp knife to cut an apple then , the area where force applied is decreased.

Due to the very small area of the cutting edge of sharpe knife, even a small force will create a high pressure. This high pressure will help us to cut an apple or any other object easily. In case of a blunt knife, area of the cutting edge is large and therefore large force has to be applied to create a pressure required to cut an apple.
