yes it's easier to cut vegetables and fruits with s sharp knife whereas a blunt knife doesn't work here. it's so because the pressure exerted by sharp knife is larger than the blunt knife.

if the area of the surface is small, then pressure exerted by that object will be greater and if the surface area is large, then the pressure exerted by the object is less.

pressure is inversely proportion to area.

we know that the surface area of a sharp knife is very less as compared with a blunt knife.

that's why it's easier to cut vegetables and fruits with sharp knife.
