The density of sea water is more than the river water hence buoyancy is more in sea water and it becomes easier to swim in sea water.

Density of sea water is greater than density of river water. So when one swim in sea water then he experiences a larger buoyant force in comparison to the river water, which makes him easy to swim in sea water.
