it is easier to walk in an open field then in a pond water which property of matter does this observation shows?

the particles of water are not free they have less force of attraction but air is free the force of attraction between air molecules is almost none.

yes , it is because of the density of water and air. Water molecules are very close to each other and have a force of attraction between them than the air molecules
so, we can easily move in air than water
