As long as you are affluent all will be your friend, but when you need some help no one will come up to help you . If you are spending money lavishly on them, they will call you very generous and large hearted as if you were a king. On the other hand, when you have lost your money your popularity goes down and people who earlier were praising you now ignore you but a true will always be with you . If you are in sorrow, he will weep with you , he will stay awake if you can't sleep. With grief of yours , he grieved too.

These are the basic differences that should be kept in mind to segregate a friend from flatterers.
