It is easier to pull a wheat plant and difficult to pull out a tomato brinjal plant for the following reasons -

• The wheat plants have small and very weak roots which makes the pulling process a lot more easier.

But on the other hand,

• The tomato and brinjal plants have long and strong roots which go to very deep level of the soil and for this reason these plants are very difficult to pull out from the harvesting soil.

It is easy to pull out a wheat plant as the ear of wheat is present above the ground and the roots of this plant are not too deep. On the other hand, tomatoes grow on small shrubs and trees with an extensive root system, which makes it very difficult to pull the plant out.

Explanation:

  • Every plant is attached to the ground through roots which act as the tools through which the plants receive their nutrients and water and also these roots act as the anchor for holding the plants uproot to the ground.
  • However, wheat plants have shallow roots and therefore can be easily pulled out whereas onions or tomato plants have extensive root systems that hold these plants carefully to the soil and is hence difficult for pulling out.
