The length of a rectangle is 2 cm more than its breadth. If the perimeter of the rectangle is 28 cm, find the length.

Let the breadth be x

Perimeter =2(l+b)

Therefore,According to the question

28cm = 2(x+2+x)

28/2 = 2x+2

14 = 2x+2

14-2 = 2x

12 = 2x

x = 12/2 = 6

Therefore,

length = x+2= 6+2=8cm

breadth= x = 6cm
