Let

B ≡ Event that 2 students do not have same birthday

∴P( B )=0.992

So, probability of 2 students having same birthday P(B)=1−P( B )

=1−0.992

=0.008

Given, in a group of 3 students, the probability of 2 students not having the same birthday is 0.992.

Here, the probability of A is 0.992 and Probability of B is 1 - P ( A ) = 1 - 0.992 = 0.008

The probability that the 2 students have the same birthday is 0.008 .
