Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

x varies directly with y^2and x=3 when y =3.

To find:-

Find the value of x when y=45

Solution:-

Given that :

x varies directly with y^2

=>x ∝ y^2

=>x / y^2 = k------(1) , where k is a constant.

now , If x = 2 then y = 3

=>k = x/y^2

=>k = 2/3^2

=>k = 2/(3×3)

=>k=2/9

The value of k = 2/9

now,

If y = 45 then from (1)

k= x/y^2

=>x = k ×y^2

=>x = (2/9)×45^2

=>x = (2×45×45)/9

=>x = 2×45×5

=>x = 450

Therefore, x = 450

Answer:-

The value of x for the given problem is 450

Used formula:-

if x varies directly with y then

x ∝ y=>x / y = k, where k is a constant.
