This question is of class 12? So here is the answer - The given lines are spoken by Antony. Antony utters these lines after seeing Caesar’s dead body. He laments at his friend’s death and questions whether all the conquests, glories and triumphs of the mighty Caesar are of such little value that he had to die a brutal death. Antony bids farewell to Caesar and then he addresses the conspirators by calling them gentlemen. He tells them that he does not know what they intend to do or whom they intend to kill next. But if it is him they intend to kill than he is ready as he thinks that no other time is best than the hour in which Caesar was killed and no other instrument is best than their swords which are made rich by the most noble blood of the world. Antony begs the conspirators to kill him while their hands are still wet with the blood of Caesar. He further says that he shall not find a better place to die and no manner of death would please him more that being stabbed by them, the masters of the new era. I hope it was helpful!
