Total number of bulbs = 550
Number of defective bulbs = 25
Number of good bulbs = 550 - 25 = 525

i) Probability that a bulb is defective = 25/550 = 1/22

ii) Probability that a bulb is good = 525/550 = 21/22

Hope This Helps You!

anilkumar78ak90: When we divide 525/550 ans is 3/22 ok
Nikti: oh when we divide the answer is 3/22 instead of 21/22

Given it is known that a box of 550 bulbs contains 25 defective bulb.
Therefore from 550 bulb ,
No. of good bulbs= 550 - 25 = 525

Let E1 be event of getting defective bulb
Favourable outcome = 25
Total no. of outcomes = 550
P (E1) = 25/550=1/22

Let E2 be event of getting good bulbs
Favourable outcomes= 525
P (E2)= 525/550=21/22
