It is known that a box of 600 electric bulbs contain 12 defective bulbs is taken at random from this bulb is taken at random from this box. what is the probability that is a non defective bulb and it is defective show that the probability of i and ii is 1

Answer:

Number of non-detective bulb is 588

probability of non-detective bulb= number of favourable outcomes / total number of outcomes

588/600 {solve by urself}

Number of Defective=12

hence probability of defective bulb = 12/600= 1/50

Sum of favourable and Non favourable outcomes =1

Therefore , sum of probability of defective bulb + Probability of non defective bulb = 1

-- 588/600+1/50=1

-- 1=1

Hence Lhs = Rhs hence proved
