It is known that a box of 800 electric bulbs contains 36 defective bulbs. One bulb is taken at random out of the box. What is the probability that the bulb chosen is non-defective?​

It is given that Total number of electric bulbs = 800 Defective bulbs = 36

So the number of non-defective bulbs = 800 – 36 = 764

We know that Probability that the bulb chosen is non defective = number of non-defective bulbs/ total number of bulbs

By substituting the values Probability that the bulb chosen is non defective = 764/800

So we get Probability that the bulb chosen is non defective = 191/200.
