As we know, Pressure depends on both force and area proportionally. So, as area decreases, pressure increases and as it increases, pressure decreases.

Same in this case, when we make an attempt to burst an inflated balloon with our finger, it takes more area and eventually, pressure decreases. On the other hand, a pointed needle has very less area which increases the pressure given which makes it pretty easy for us to burst an inflated balloon. This is the reason. All happens due to pressure and area of the object.

---> The tip of the needle is sharp so that due to its sharp tip, the needle may put force on very small area of balloon , producing a large pressure sufficient to pierce the balloon .

where as ,

-->if we use finger to burst balloon, the surface area of it is more and blunt . Hence less pressure will act on balloon which is not sufficient to burst it.
