It is not worth paying so much money for this concert.

1. Paying, here, is a present participle tense.

2. Present participle tenses always end with –ing, whereas past participle tenses always end with –ed,  -d, -t, -en, or –n. A present participle is referred to as the –ing form of a verb and again when it is used as a proper adjective. We should note that: a present participle is totally different from a gerund, and, is the –ing form of a verb when it is used as a noun.

3. Below are a few examples of present participle tense-

# She has a school bag that is covered in stickers.

# He has been constantly staring at that sky for hours.

# The bunny had a hidden bulk of eggs.
