It is a percussion instrument with indefinite pitch..so here the main factor is the loudness as it has greater surface area than other snare drums..I also was confused seeing the question in 2019 ICSE physics exam.

I think that is right bcoz loudness can be be controlled on how hard you hit or the pressure you still it with
