It is often said that by protecting the tiger , we actually protect all other forms of flora and fauna . Is that true ? Why ?

Yes, it is true. Because tiger, like all other living creatures, are also a part of food chain. They mostly eat herbivore animals like deer, zebra, Buffalo etc. If they get extinct they won't eat the herbivore animals as a result the number of such animals will increase and this will lead to overeating of all flora and there won't be sufficient plants left on Earth. This insufficiency will lead to the death of herbivore animals themselves because no flora would be left for their future generations. Thus by protecting tigers we actually protect all other forms of flora and fauna.
