Non material needs refer to those needs which gives satisfaction, security, attachment, freedom etc.apart from income and monetary profits.These needs are equally important like the material needs.Such needs are unmeasurable. We get pleasure and satisfaction out of it.

For example: Friendship is an important thing which we need and friends play an important role in our life which nobody can deny.Parental love gives us immense pleasure which income or profit cannot measure.Hence, we prefer jobs which provides facilities for our family like medical facilities. Security and freedom are also important.A job which gives high salary but  fails to provide security and freedom is not liked by us.
