Heya !!

Here's your answer.. ⬇⬇
______________________________

Q. It is possible to observe total internal reflection when a ray travels from ___.

Ans. ( D ) Glass into water

Reason :-

When a ray of light travels from optically denser medium to optically rarer medium, it bends away from the normal.

As angle of incidence increases, the angle or refraction also increases and ray of light moves farther away from normal.

The angle of incidence at which the angle of refraction is 90° is called Critical angle ( C ).

⚫ To Observe TIR :-

Ray of light must travel from denser medium to less denser medium. And angle of incidence must be greater than critical angle.

Glass is more denser medium than Water.

Hence, TIR will take place when ray travels from glass into water.

Hey!!

Here is ur answer!!
==================================
When a ray of light travelling in a denser medium, is incidence at the surface of a rarer medium at the angle of incidence greater than th critical angle for the pair of given media, the ray is totally reflected back. This phenomenon is known as TOTAL INTERNAL REFRACTION..

CONDITIONS FOR TOTAL INTERNAL REFRACTION :

1) The light must travel from a denser to a rarer medium.

2)The angle of incidence must be greater than thr critical angle for the pair of media.

Therefore the answer will be WATER INTO GLASS...
