Explanation:

Are you kidding? I’ll be 94 in Oct. and the only wisdom I accumulate is the constant reaffirmation of my (borrowed) motto:

I ONLY KNOW I KNOW NOTHING. (mostly about the “transcendent”)

I think I notice when I make mistakes a little better, but that doesn’t seem to help in making less of them.

No category I know of is all inclusive. SOME people, young or old are wiser and or correct and score more often than others. I wouldn’t say someone like Elon Musk got there through wisdom but through correct thinking and choices - attributable to what? Maybe knowledge, insight and VISION/imagination/originality/creativity.

The closest synonym I can come up for wisdom is “understanding.” A wise person is not necessarily active but might tend to be passive and contemplative, regardless of age.

People are so different in everything that age is just one factor in the mix and not necessarily the most significant for indicating wisdom or not.

Nevertheless, a larger percentage of “wise” people should tend to survive longer than sky divers, so there probably are a few more wise men among the elders (if you can find them) than out there in the market place.

Not for nothing was the proverb coined: There’s no fool like an old fool!”

But at least we enjoy it! (some of us) [well I do]
