It is required to increase the velocity of a car of mass 1200 kg from 36km/h to 54km/h in 3 seconds. Calculate the force required.

Work done (W)= Kinetic Energy (KE)

➡ =1/2×m×(v^2-u^2)

Mass of car=m=1500kg

Initial velocity=u=

32 km/h

➡ = 32×5/18

➡ =10m/s

Similarly, Final velocity=v= 72km/h

➡ =20m/s

KE= 1/2×m×(v^2 - u^2)

➡ =1/2×1500×(20×20 - 10×10)

➡ =1/2×1500×(400-100)

➡ =1/2×1500×300 =2,25,000 J
